1. Choose your Award level
Remember there are three levels, but you do one at a time. You get to choose where you feel comfortable starting.
You need to base your choice around your age and the commitment you're willing to give to it - you can check this out on The Details page.
2. Find an Award Coordinator
No Participant is ever alone in their Award as they have an Award Coordinator to guide, assist and sign off on each Award. Their job is to keep you motivated, on target, help set your goals and to inspire you!
All Award Coordinators are attached to one of our State Offices. To find a Coordinator in your area you can start by asking your school, uni or club if they run The Award, or contact your State or Territory Offices.
3. Find your Assessors
For each area of your Award Sections (Skill, Volunteering, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey), you will need someone to assess your commitment and achievements. These people work with you to complete your Record Book and achieve your award. Your coordinator may help you recognise and organise appropriate assessors.
4. Work out a plan
With your Award Leader and Assessors sorted, you are on to the fun part of working out your own Award program! This includes deciding what skill to work on, where to volunteer, what physical recreation activity to do and where to go on your adventurous journey.
There are ideas pages under each Section for you to check out incase you're stuck for ideas, and make sure you speak to your Coordinator to help you brainstorm!
5. Get going
There is nothing to stop you now !
You have the plan, the people and the power, so get out there and challenge yourself!
